Once again the Mets rip your heart out and spit and piss all over it. Unfu**ingbelievable. Changes better be made. Please attach the bullpen to the wrecking ball when they tear down this ball park. |

Which Oliver Perez is going to show up today on the final game at Shea Stadium? Will it be the Perez that goes 7+, 1 run, limited amount of walks or will we have a repeat from last year with a debacle 4-5 runs in the first two innings. It's a toss up with Ollie, so who the hell knows what we're going to get. Hopefully he learned from Johan's outing yesterday. Also, let's not forget Perez is showing off his arm in the free-agnet market, I'm sure every strikeout he gets you will $$ signs in front of his eyes.
Lineup:
SS Jose Reyes CF Carlos Beltran 1B Carlos Delgado 3B David Wright LF Nick Evans 2B Ramon Martinez RF Ryan Church C Ramon Castro P Oliver Perez

The Brewers just loss to the Cubs 7-3. Which means we are now tied for the Wild Card with one game left. Unfortunately the Phillies won the divison. So the Wild Card is our only hope. Seeing the Phillies celebrate made me want to puke, but that's just me. |

What an amazin' pitching performance from the ace Johan Santana. Oh my, he threw his heart out their today. Going on three days rest after throwing a career high 125 pitches and comes out today and throws 117 pitches for a complete game three-hit shutout. This is unreal. He had his super-changeup working today. Striking out 9 batters, and walking three. A great performance from Johan who I know he had to feed of the crowd, the crowd today was phenomenal, electric, Johan chants during the 7-9th innings, certainly a step up from the past two nights. A great moment from Johan was after the game, he kissed the game ball and threw it into the stands, as if saying this was one for you guys.
The offense was silent for the most part today. Scoring a Reyes run in the first inning. Jose lead the game off with a single, then stole second base, Carlos Beltran singled advancing Reyes to third, Carlos Delgado comes up with a sac-fly and give the Mets an early lead. To be honest, that's all we needed. Later, Daniel Murphy was hit by a pitch and was driven in by the new unsung hero, Ramon Martinez, who doubled Murphy in to give us a 2-0 lead.
Doc Gooden was the last Mets player to pitch a complete game going on three days rest in 1987.
I'm sorry, but doesn't this look all to familiar? Last year John Maine pitches a gem on the second to last game of the season and Tom Glavine goes out on the last day and doesn't make it past the the first inning giving up seven runs. Oliver Perez will most likely pitch tomorrow and we all know he's capable of an outing like Glavines last year. Keep your fingers crossed. |

The season literally comes down to the last two games and a bit of a luck. We MUST win out the last two games to even have a shot and pray for the Milwaukee Brewers to lose at least one.
The Mets could not pick up the momentum from last nights comeback win. Instead they laid an egg and dropped a crucial game to the Marlins 6-1.
Johan Santana will pitched tomorrow on three days rest. If we lose and the Brewers win, we're done!
I'm sorry, I don't have nothing more to say. I'm just so pissed and angry, can't sleep. By 7-8:00 tomorrow our fate will be revealed, if we handle our business. |

Jerry Manuel said in his postgame interview that Johan Santana will pitch tomorrow. Santana will be going on three days rest after throwing a career high 125 pitches. Jon Niese was originally stated to start tomorrows game, but considering the circumstances now with the Mets a game out of the Wild Card and the division out of reach. |

I'm looking at the Phillies highlights from tonight's game and am wondering where are our fans? Citizens Bank ball park is rockin' No empty seats, rally towels going, and if you look at Shea right now, it's pretty empty, no rally towels, just plain and boring. We are supposed to have the best fans, well, where the hell are they? Come on people, it's the final night game at Shea Stadium and we're in the middle of a pennant race. |
